How to reduce stretch marks?
nalfavi asked:
I’ve been heavy all my life, and I’m going to go in for the gastic bypass surgery in a few months. I was wondering, is there anything I can do now to help with the stretch marks, so they’re not as prominent later? I’ve heard cocoa butter helps, but I’m not sure if that’s just for pregnancy. I’m 19, and I’ve been morbidly obese all my life, so the stretch marks are a bit more than pregnancy ones.
Thanks in advance!

Bio Oil – Meant to be great!!!
Worry about the skin issues after the surgery. Your only goal should be to lose weight, get healthy both emotionally and physically.
Cocoa butter works in general, it hasn’t been formulated to only work on pregnant women. You can also use lotions with lots of vitamin E in them or a vitamin E oil. The only option to completely get rid of stretch marks is plastic surgery.
didnt no body as terrible g all that!!
girl, use coco butter every nite, they will fade away, especially if you are of color.
if you dont have a lot of melanin, bio oil is good, but white ones will eventually fade away. while your doin a body make over, if you want you can get that laser surgery that would get rid of it.
I notice over the tv ad recently that the pharmacy is selling a brand that claim to solve the stretch mark problem. maybe you can ask look in these reputable store.
Good luck with gastric bypass. Avon has an incredible cream for stretch marks. I can’t remember its name but its the only one of its kind in their line of products. You can either get an Avon representative to get it for you or order one on line. Apply twice a day and you will be amazed. Mine took 8 weeks to completely fade away.
CONGRATS…….. for your gastric bypass surgery and your new slim body
In these cases people suffers from similar problem
generally it disappear of its own no extra care is required but it takes a lot of time
yes continue using cocoa butter, use olive oil and have proper message
consult a yoga therapist. He will tell you one or two exercises and do it regularly for 15 mins everyday and your stretch marks will be gone within a year and yoga really works. Ihave seen with my own eyes that yoga has worked really.
I will start off with a few cheap, easy solutions. Try using a skin brush while you are showering will increase circulation which will help the skin to heal and help reduce stretch marks. There are also many creams you can find at your local pharmacy or grocery store that will moisturize your stretch marks, and make them more flexible. Examples of these are cocoa butter and creams or oils containing vitamin E. If none of the creams or oils are effective, you can also talk to your doctor about getting a prescription cream to reduce stretch marks.
Your diet can also help reduce your stretch marks. Eating food high in zinc and silica will help with your collagen formation. Also, eating foods with essential fatty acids, such as certain vegetables and fish oils, help form cell walls. Eating foods high in vitamins A, C, and E will also help.
